About Us :
One of Scotland's longest established clubs, Dunfermline Cycling Club has a wealth of experience to draw on from its membership base. Whether it's touring, some form of racing, or off-road riding, club members will be happy to share their knowledge with you, allowing you to get the most from your cycling.
Read about the Club's History, or the wide range of activities we undertake in the What we do section. Or find out who to contact in the Club for specific help on some subject on the Club Officials page.
Joining Us :
Although it is not essential to be a member of a club to race in open events in Scotland, it certainly makes life a lot easier. Fellow club members will give you advice on which events to do, on how to prepare for racing, on what equipment to buy, etc. and generally make competing a more enjoyable experience.
If you don't want to start racing straightaway, then join other club members for the regular club runs, discovering the quieter roads around Fife, and the cyclist friendly cafe stops. Or seek coaching advice from Mark Young, our club coach, and have your rise to race fitness monitored on the club's Computrainer.
To join, simply visit our website by clicking logo above and go to the appropriate ' Join Us ' section. Once the Application Form has been completed, send it to the Club Secretary, Adam Jasper, 14 Orchard Grove, Crombie, Fife KY12 8JP, along with your cheque in payment of the membership fee due.
Other benefits of membership include :
Eligibility to compete in each of the club championships for road racing, time trialling, track racing, points competition, etc.
Eligibility for each of the Fife Cycling Association championships
Access to a full range of race and cycling clothing in the club colours of bright yellow, dark blue and white, all at discounted prices
A full programme of confined club events run by Fife clubs throughout the racing season, which permit "entry on the line" at nominal cost
