Join us as we celebrate the success of Carnegie Hall over the last 80 years with a programme of activities that holds something for everyone.

80 Moments in Time

Take a stroll with us through the years as we look at the initial plans for the building, the people behind it and the many famous folks who have tread the boards of this fabulous art deco theatre.

HotScotch Ceilidh Band – Ceilidh Night

HotScotch Ceilidh Band are a trio of dynamic musicians who offer an exciting blend of traditional and contemporary Scottish Ceilidh Music. With a fantastic mix of Accordion, Fiddle and Drums they give just the right atmosphere for a fun night of ceilidh dancing! Their lively style of playing and audience rapport will have you on the floor dancing all evening.

The King’s Speech

Join us as we evoke the spirit of 1937 with the story of King George VI, his impromptu ascension to the throne and the speech therapist who helped the unsure monarch become worthy of it. Photo opportunity with Gareth and the Oscar.

This is a fantastic opportunity to get a full behind the scenes tour. Take a peak in the dressing rooms where the likes of Billy Connolly has sat and tread the boards on the stage – perhaps even have a wee dance if you feel the urge.


Family Fun Day

Dress up as your favourite film character and join us for some family fun including arts & crafts, digitalanimation, face painting andballoons all before you sit downto watch the movie (12.30pm) that has been chosen by you in our online competition. Prizes will be awarded for the best costume.

Join us as we take a trip down memory lane back to 1937 and watch this popular comedy duo in action. Stan and Ollie head to Brushwood Gulch on an important mission but as usual things don’t go as planned for our hapless heroes. There will also be a photo opportunity with the two characters themselves.
