Broadway Swings at The Alhambra
Dunfermline’s Alhambra has reached an important milestone with 18,000 customers and a string of plaudits since the beginning of the campaign to launch the venue last December. It all began with an opening party and an open doors day. A year later and the venue, although still very much in the process of being restored, is unrecognisable from the shell inherited from Carlton Bingo.
To celebrate the first year, many of those involved in a ‘spine-tingling’ first night, including West End star Jeff Leyton and the Razz Big Band, return to perform a show called Broadway Swings. This is a programme of swing versions of broadway tunes made famous by Frank Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerald and Michael Buble that sold out one of the largest venues at the Fringe earlier this year.
