Dunfermline Comic Con returns to the kingdom for the third year on March the 3rd.

Preparations are well advanced for the show at the Glen Pavilion on Saturday 3rd March, again organised by the comic store Little Shop of Heroes.

Major attractions on display will come from the ‘Star Wars’ universe. Including a speeder bike, droids, Jabba The Hutt, X-Wing and Wampa. Forming an amazing Star Wars Zone for great photo opportunities.

There are 30 comic book artists and writers coming from the U.S.A, Russia, Finland, Ireland and the U.K. for the event, making Dunfermline Comic Con a truly international affair. There will be also be 150 stalls this year compared to 100 in 2017, making this one of the largest comic conventions in Britain.

The 2018 con will have a number of special panel discussions with comic creators and child friendly creative activities scheduled throughout the day as well as a citizen art project. Leading origami master Dennis Walker will be hosting workshops throughout the day and comic creator Gary Erskine will host an introduction to creating comic book characters.

“The attendees love the opportunity to speak with the creators of some of the most iconic comic book characters in popular culture and the chance to get a photograph with some fantastic Star Wars movie props.”Said organiser Alby Grainger.

With many of those attending planning to dress as their favourite comic and movie characters, the event promises to be spectacular and bring a splash of colour to the town. The popular “cosplay” competition and parade proving to be one of the highlights of previous events. Cosplayers from across Scotland will be showing off there fantastic creations and taking part in the Cosplay Competition.

Dunfermline Comic Con has grown year on year with over 5000 attendees from across the U.K. expected to descend on Scotland’s new capital of comics for the day.

Event organisers Little Shop Of Heroes are delighted to announce that 10% of all adult ticket sales and any profits from the event will be contributed to their new “Books For Schools” charity, supplying graphic novels to all 19 of Fife’s secondary schools.
