We advertise all vacancies on our website, including apprenticeships – which we offer in most trades – and vacancies for stewards at our properties (including seasonal stewards). We also place adverts in Jobcentres, local and national newspapers, and specialist publications.

For most roles, applicants must have a minimum level of qualification and experience – typically passes at Standard Grade/GCSE/O Level. Equivalent qualifications may be acceptable.

You will also need to meet our basic eligibility criteria and health checks and provide satisfactory references.

Thank you for your interest in the post of steward with Historic Environment Scotland, based at Dunfermline Abbey. This is a permanent full time pensionable appointment.

This is an important position in the Angus, Perthshire and Fife Visitor Operations team within the Commercial and Tourism Directorate. The post holder will be responsible for delivering a high quality visitor experience throughout the year for around 16,000 visitors to Dunfermline Palace and Abbey Nave generating income through ticket and shop sales.
