The community has always been an essential aspect of my life, and it undoubtedly means a lot to you, too.
A considerable part of the joy we get out of our lives in a place like Dunfermline comes from the security of knowing that whatever we are going through, we are not on our own.
Whether face-to-face or online, people form communities through shared interests or goals. It may be through a hobby, religion, politics, work, or practically any area of commonality.
At Visit Dunfermline, we see this as a crucial part of our business. By encouraging interaction, we can bring people together, who then may go on to do good things for the community.
Over the last few months, we have met with several local groups, such as The Pittencrieff Park Ambition Group, Falling Up Together, Friends of Pittencrieff Park, and The Patons of Wooer's Alley.
All these organisations arose out of shared community interest, and I'm sure they will go on to achieve good things for The City. There’s certainly enough talent and willing people within our community.
If you would like to volunteer with Visit Dunfermline or any of the groups mentioned above or to contribute ideas, please get in touch.
