A Christmas gift from my wife kickstarted my love for photography about 12 years ago. She gave me an entry-level Nikon SLR, and I started using it the day I received it. I had not yet figured out what to use the camera for, but I saw the world differently when I hit that shutter button on that cold festive morning.
Photography is my passion, and I am particularly drawn to landscapes. It helps me notice the beauty surrounding us daily, and things I once ignored suddenly became crystal clear. I would spend hours driving around, looking for that perfect shot to capture a memorable scene. Sometimes I was lucky, and sometimes it was a fruitless search

Experience is everything, and I learned what works and what doesn't over time. I have expanded my camera collection to include digital cameras and these days, I am just as happy using my mobile phone camera as I am with my bulky SLR.
Living in Scotland is a dream for a landscape photographer like me. We are blessed with some of the world's most stunning scenery, and the ever-changing light conditions make it even more perfect for landscape photography

As part of my role in Visit Dunfermline, I have been focusing more on local photography. Fortunately, Dunfermline and its surrounding areas have plenty of superb spots to capture. I have taken thousands of photographs in the last few years alone.
I woke up early this morning and took some lovely pictures of a beautiful morning that I was excited to share with our followers. Capturing moments in time is a powerful tool, and not only do these photographs provide visual documentation and stimulate our senses and make us feel better about the world around us. Hopefully, my photographs will be around a lot longer than me and provide some legacy.
