Pittencrieff Park 2013
We organise this monumental festival, Visit Dunfermline, with generous funding from the Fife Council (Strategic Events Fund and Local Area Committee) and The Carnegie Trust. We are thrilled to resurrect this beloved festival and are immensely thankful for the support we've received. Dunfermline's rich history and connection to Robert the Bruce make Pittencrieff Park the perfect venue for this event.
We anticipate attracting thousands of local folk and visitors from further afield, helping to spotlight Scotland's newest city on the world stage. A unique feature of The Bruce 750 Festival is the re-enactment village, where visitors can step into the life of King Robert the Bruce's army and the era's historical luminaries. The village offers an in-depth look into medieval warfare and daily life, featuring renowned knights like Sir Thomas Randolph and Sir James Douglas and exploring trades and skills of the time.
