Hello Nicola here,
Did you know there is a Peace Pole in the Glen?
A Peace Pole is a dedicated monument to peace, and an internationally recognised symbol of the hopes, dreams and prayers for peace on Earth. Each pole has either 4 or 6 sides, and each side displays the message May Peace Prevail on Earth in different languages. Through worldpeace.org the Peace Pole Project aim to “bring people together to inspire, awaken and uplift the human consciousness the world over”.
On 6 March 2004 during a visit to Scotland, the Dalai Lama blessed our newly placed 4-sided Peace Pole, and upon each side May Peace Prevail on Earth is written in English, Gaelic, Japanese and Tibetan.
But with all this talk of peace, how is your inner peace right now? As beings of vibrational energy our thoughts, words and actions create an energetic ripple effect so it’s important to check in to see if these are coming from a negative or positive place. Negative thoughts lead to negative feelings and using negative words which result in behaving in a negative way which can really lower our own energy levels and wellbeing.
One of the quickest ways of turning this around is bringing in gratitude. What are you grateful for right now? Make it easy and start small. Perhaps you are grateful that the sun is shining, for the smile someone gave as you passed you by, or for the companionship that a pet / child / friend brings.
Making this a daily habit helps to shift your attention from the negative to the positive, and as your awareness grows you will be inspired by the small things in life which bring you peace.
Until next time,
Nicola
