"By all these lovely tokens, September days are here. With summer's best of weather and autumn's best of cheer" ~ Helen Hunt Jackson
Hello!
It is a mixed bag from me this afternoon, but before I get into my weekend news, I have to mention the wonderful achievement of Dunfermline’s own Owen Miller winning an incredible gold medal in the T20 1500 meter final at the Tokoyo Paralympics, his first games!
Huge Congratulations Owen!
So, iconic Scottish Indie Rock Band, Arab Strap are kicking off their UK tour at the Glen Pavillion this evening.
On my 'to do' list tomorrow, is a visit to 269 Vegan Dunfermline the latest addition to the Dunfermline food scene.
I wouldn’t call myself vegan but with cake and coffee that looks like this I think I could easily be converted :)
I love visiting heritage sites, so I was thrilled to learn of the Door Open Days event that starts this weekend.
Doors Open Days is a national event run by the Scottish Civic Trust that is supported and co-ordinated by Fife Council for the venues that take part across Fife throughout September each year, and it’s all for free!
For more information read their blog here
So that's my weekend is sorted; music, cake and loads of new heritage sites to visit!
I hope yours is just as good:)
Lindsay
